What Makes a Ceramic Coating Different
A ceramic coating is a liquid polymer that bonds to your paint and hardens into a clear glass-like layer. It is not a wax and it is not a sealant. Think of it as a second clear coat, one that is far tougher than the one the factory put on.

Your paint is new or close to perfect. We do a paint enhancement to clean up light haze, then coat. This is most new vehicles and well-kept used ones.
Standard+ or Reserve+
Your paint has swirls, scratches, or wash marks. We run a full 2-step correction first, then coat. Coatings lock in whatever is underneath, so correcting first is the only way to get the finish you actually want.

Inspection
We walk the car with you, look over the paint, and tell you which package it actually needs. No upselling.
Decontamination
Full wash, chemical decontamination, and clay to pull off everything stuck to the paint. Coating over contamination locks it in permanently.
Enhancement or Correction
Paint enhancement on the standard package. A full 2-step correction on the plus package.
Coating and Cure
The Gtechniq coating goes on panel by panel, then cures under controlled conditions before you pick it up.
Most cars are done in 1 to 2 days. You get photo and video updates while we work.

Ceramic Coating Questions, Answered
The questions we get asked most.
Can a ceramic coating heal itself if it gets scratched?+
No. Coatings cure into a hard, glossy surface, but they do not heal. That is paint protection film. Paint needs correcting before we coat, because a coating will not fix deep scratches or dents and it will not stop rock chips.
Can a ceramic coating go on surfaces other than paint?+
Yes. We coat paint, glass, exterior vinyl and plastic trim, and on the Reserve package, wheel faces and light housings. Each surface gets the coating type made for that material.
How long will my coating last?+
Standard carries a 5-year guarantee and Reserve carries a 9-year guarantee. How long it really lasts comes down to how the car is stored, driven, and washed. Washing it properly is the biggest factor.
What is the difference between a ceramic coating and PPF?+
A coating is a chemical layer that handles UV, staining, grime, and gloss. Film is a physical layer that absorbs rock chips. Plenty of people run film on the front end and coating over the whole car.
Do I have to do anything special after the install?+
For the first week, keep it out of the rain where you can and stay out of automatic washes. After that, hand wash with the right products. Your Gtechniq Maintenance Kit has everything you need and we walk you through it at pickup.
Is the coating registered anywhere?+
Yes. Every install is warrantied through Gtechniq and reported to Carfax, so it shows in your vehicle history and counts at resale.
